Anita Freeman

I am so blessed. I was raised by the best Godly parents anyone could ever ask for. not only did they take us to church, but they set such good examples for us  in providing us a Christian home. I still have my parents, they have been married for over 60 years. they are a great blessing in my life. I thought I got saved at a young age but as I got older I realized that I didn’t have god in my heart , just in my head. I made things right after I was grown with Christ and he now lives in my heart.

I started working in  the children’s ministry at Iron city at a young age and stayed there for many years along with playing piano. I Left Iron City for about 10 years and went to another church as pianist. When we came back to Iron city I joined in the music ministry along with working with children during hope groups. When God told me to come out of the music ministry, I didn’t know why, then later I was ask to take the nursery coordinator position here at Iron city. It was not until then I understood Gods plan. This is where my heart is. I have such a love for those children.

I am very happily married to my soul-mate and best friend Jody Freeman, I am so blessed. I have 2 daughters that are married Amanda (Ben) and Ashley (Jerry) and six grandchildren - Chelsea, Chase, Ethan, Jacob, Haley and Joshua. I also have a step-son from a previous marriage that had a tragic 4-wheeler accident; he is in Heaven waiting on us all to get there, we will be so happy to see him. I have been through many, many trials and tribulations in my life but I have fought a good fight and kept the faith, and I have a blessed family, I love spending time with every one of them. I Thank God for what he has brought me through because it has made our family so much stronger. 

I love going to the beach with my family and camping with my family for just having them over for cook outs. I enjoy spending time with my grand kids.   I love the outdoors and reading.
